March Roster

As I mentioned in my previous roster post, we all now get our rosters quite a bit earlier, which is lovely as it means you can plan the month ahead a bit more.

Although my bidding seniority is quite low in March, I’m pretty happy and quite pleasantly surprised with my roster for next month!

I’ll be heading off to:

  • SEA – Seattle, USA
  • HAM – Hamburg, Germany
  • HKG – Hong Kong
  • ZRH – Zurich, Switzerland
  • DOH – Doha, Qatar (Turnaround)
  • CKY – DKR – Conakry, Guinea – Dakar, Senegal

I’m super excited to be heading back to Seattle, as I’ve only been once before and I loved the city. You can read about my previous trip here, and see what I got up to. Any tips for anything different to see or do this time would be much appreciated!

I’ve also been to Hamburg a few times before, and my old school friend Georg lives there, so if he’s not working hopefully we’ll be able to catch up.

As for Hong Kong and Zurich, if you read my blog regularly you’ll know that those are two destinations that I love and have flown to fairly often.

I’m also happy that I’ve finally got a new destination – it’ll be my first time visiting both Conakry and Dakar. We actually get 48 hours in Conakry so I should have plenty of time to explore, and then 24 hours in Dakar.

I also have another string of 5 days off, but so far I have no plans and might just take some time to relax in Dubai!

P.s. Follow me on Instagram & Twitter for more day-to-day updates of where I am in the world! 🙂

Ooh I’m from Seattle! If you have a chunk of 4+ hours free, I reaally recommend hopping on a ferry (the terminal is walking distance from from Pike Place etc.) and going to Bainbridge Island. It’s a cheap, quick ride and such a beautiful place. There are lots of quiet pebbly beaches if it’s a nice day, cute shops, a free art museum, a few really nice bakeries, and some of the best ice cream I’ve ever had (Mora <3)

If you want to stay downtown, I can second Serious Pie… and/or Shug's Soda Fountain which is right next to the market for adorable, Instagrammable ice cream and drinks!

Awesome, thanks so much for the tips Rebecca! The weather is a bit gloomy so I decided to skip Bainbridge Island, I’ll try and get a trip in summer to do that. I managed to do a seaplane tour with Kenmore Air which is free for cabin crew so I’ll post some pictures of that soon! Thanks for the other tips, hopefully I’ll manage to make room for some pizza, haha! 🙂

    Hi Rachel!
I’ve been reading your blog since you were in economy so I’m wondering what it the next step for you after working in first class? Would you like to become cabin supervisor or purser? 🙂 Keep up the good work, your rosters always excite me haha
Hope you will fly soon to Zagreb (my hometown) as it was announced as a new Emirates destination! Safe flying

Hi Mislav! Thanks so much for reading 🙂 At the moment I’m very happy working in first class so most likely I will stay there for a while. Eventually I might like to go for purser but to do that I will need to be cabin supervisor first (for at least 2 years). We’ll see what happens in the future 🙂 Fingers crossed I’ll be able to visit Zagreb in the summer!

    hi!
you should try Starbucks Reserve in Seattle. It is their high end store which has items that are not available at any other Starbucks location. The coffee milkshake is amazing! Also there is a pizza place inside their called serious pie if you will be there between monday to friday try hitting it up between 3-6pm for happy hour for personal sized pizza’s . Definitely try the Margarita!
    have fun!
