A Sunny Stroll Through Munich

A couple of weeks I flew off to sunny Munich, and since my brother no longer lives there and his girlfriend was also out of town, I decided it would be the perfect opportunity to head into the city.

It’s actually been a while since I’ve been into Munich city centre, so one of the girls and I jumped on the underground and were there in no time, ready for a nice walk around.

We got so lucky with the weather, it was a lovely crisp morning, 16 degrees and plenty of sunshine!

We took our time wandering through the streets, popping in and out of a couple of shops along the way.

Soon we arrived at Marienplatz, the main square, which is home to some beautiful buildings.

From here we decided to climb up St Peter’s Church, the church just off the main square. Approximately 300 steps later, we arrived at the top!

The club is certainly worth it, as you are rewarded with a stunning 360 view of the city and beyond.

We could even see out to the snowy mountains in the distance.

Once back down, we decided to continue our walk through town, and passed by the market, where we saw a lovely open air cafe and stopped for a drink in the sunshine.

We sat chatting and soaking up every drop of spring sunshine, it was lovely!

Cheers Munich!
