I’ve recently got back from an awesome two day layover to the gorgeous city of Los Angeles!
It was my second time visiting, and I had planned to hire a car and drive down to San Diego for the day. However, that didn’t end up happening, so I hung out with most of the crew from economy, who were planning on driving to the city.
We set off around 10 and our first stop was to Hollywood.
We had a slight mishap with our GPS – after about half an hour of driving we realised the hire company had given us a faulty charger and we ran out of battery! Luckily we were split into two cars, so could follow the others.
Once we arrived and found parking we wandered along the Walk of Fame, checking out all the stars. I’ve been before so I didn’t take too many pictures this time!
We got back to the cars just as the parking meters were expiring, and got ready to drive to our next stop – Lake Hollywood. This is apparently the closest you can get to the Hollywood Sign, and we had to drive up some very steep windy roads to get there!
Once we were there the view was incredible! Not only can you see the Hollywood Sign up close, but if you turn around and cross the road, you’ll find the lake!
It was a bit foggy so the view of the city wasn’t quite as clear as I’m sure it is on some days, however the gorgeous lake more than made up for that.
After making sure to take plenty of photos, we programmed in our next destination to the GPS – Santa Monica Pier!
Somehow the drive took us a little longer than expected….after over 2 hours of getting lost (even though we were following a GPS!) we finally made it!
We wandered down the pier checking out the view and browsing the stalls. We stopped for some lunch and as we were finishing the sun had already started to set. We walked down to the end of the pier (which of course by now was pretty busy!) to admire the gorgeous sunset!
The sky looked like it was on fire!
What a beautiful end to a lovely day in LA!

I was just wondering what cell service you use and if you are still able to use it in other countries?

I use Etisalat… in Dubai there are only 2 providers! It works fine in other countries, just costs a lot! I pretty much only use wifi when I’m abroad!
you should honestly consider starting a youtube channel and vlogging your travels, you might not be able to vlog your time when you’re working (well obviously lol) but i would love to see your vlogs when you’re going from country to country. you’re my favourite travel blog btw<3

I love it 🙂
Great photos, during your next visit you should try to visit beaches in Malibu, or Orange County (Laguna Beach, Newport Beach, Dana Point) they are really nice & clean with great restaurants and piers. If you make it to San Diego be sure to check out La Jolla Cliffs, a sight to see for sure!
