February Roster

I’m currently on leave, and for once I’ve stayed in Dubai! 😉

My sister Lizzie and her boyfriend Jarett are here staying with me for a while; they’ve been living in the US and flew over from Dallas. So this means full tourist mode is on!

A couple of days ago I got my roster for February, so here it is, in case anyone is interested! 🙂

  • Houston (technically this is on my Jan roster but I land back into DXB in Feb!)
  • Zurich
  • Sydney – Auckland – Sydney
  • Zurich
  • Brisbane – Auckland – Brisbane

So as you can see they’ve given me two trips to Zurich (as obviously I haven’t been there enough already, haha!) and two multi sector trips. I haven’t done a multi sector trip for aaaaages (other than my Rio – Buenos Aires trip back in September) and I can’t say I’m looking forward to them!

They’re very tiring and you get very jet lagged in Australia, but I’ll try and make the most of them and have a good time anyway! At least for once I’ll have a new destination, as I’ve never been to Brisbane before 🙂

Just a short post today as I’ve got guests – but there’ll be one up soon with some pictures from my trip to Barcelona!

Jan Roster

First of all my apologies for being somewhat MIA the past few weeks. I’ve been so busy studying for my exams (haha only joking, I’m the queen of procrastination and I started yesterday)….but really I’ve just been busy!

I just got back from a lovely little mini-holiday to Hong Kong – my friend Michelle was operating the flight on the way out and then as she left my friend Sally arrived! So we spent 2 days partying, shopping, eating and sleeping! 🙂

Here's a sneak peek of what's to come in my next blog post!

I thought I’d just do a quick update with my January roster; we got it a few days early this month.

December Flying & Exams

It’s that time of the month again….roster time!

December this year has a not-so-nice little surprise on the cards – my yearly SEP exams!

We have to pass these recurrent exams once a year (held over 2 days) to keep our flying licenses valid, and somehow this year I’ve been lucky enough to be rostered them on the 24th and 25th of December. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!! That’s the downside of working for a muslim airline, I guess!

Looks like I’ll be celebrating Christmas in training college; I’ll have to take in some mince pies to make things a bit more festive!

Other than that I have flights to:

  • Singapore
  • San Fransisco (I was originally rostered Mauritius and Bangkok, but swapped those for San Fran to get extra days off before my leave)
  • Leave (where I have 2 special guests coming to stay for a few days – mum & dad!)
  • SEP exams
  • Paris
  • Paris

I’m trying to swap at least one of the Paris’ (seeing as I’ve also just been there, and 3 flights to the same place in a month can get a bit repetitive!) so I’ll see if I manage to change that.

November Roster

So I know we’re already almost a week in to November, but I realised I haven’t put my roster up here!

I’m now officially on my second month of working in business class and I almost feel like I know what I’m doing! 😉

So here goes:

  • New York (which I’ve just done a blog post about!)
  • Singapore
  • London Gatwick
  • Munich
  • Frankfurt (I was originally rostered Beijing but somebody sent me a swap for this!)
  • Paris

All of these flights are on the A380, and I’ve also got quite a few days off in a row which is lovely!

As always feel free to leave me any comments and suggestions for future blog posts 🙂

October Roster

Ive just got back from probably the best trip ever…. Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires! Obviously a post (or two) will be coming with lots of pictures, but first I thought I’d put up my October roster!

Exciting times as I’m now officially a “Grade 1”, working in the business class cabin. So here goes:
