Villefranche-Sur-Mer, France

The south of France is full of beautiful little seaside towns, and on my previous trip to Nice we had driven past the delightful Villefranche-Sur-Mer on winding roads, and I was determined to check it out this time.

Myself and two of the other girls from my flight started off with a quick walk around Nice town, then jumped on the bus to nearby Villefranche-Sur-Mer. It was just a short ride, and we were soon wandering down the street ready to explore.

The town is full of pretty pastel-coloured houses, and boats floating in the harbour. We started off with a walk through the first street we saw, and couldn’t stop ourselves from taking hundreds of photos!

How lovely does this little church on the hillside look?

We wandered down to the waterfront, which looks as though it could belong in a coastal Italian village – so pretty.

There are plenty of restaurants lined up along the harbour (some a little more pricey than others) and we stopped off for a cold drink by the water.

We continued our walk through the town, exploring what felt like every nook and cranny. There are just so many charming streets, full of painted shutters and lovely flowers.

As you walk up the winding streets, turn back and admire the view out to sea.

After having made our way through the town, it was time to stop and have some dinner. Since plenty of the restaurants have waterfront seating, we chose one which was within our budget and ordered up a feast, while watching the sun slowly start to set.

As we sipped on our crisp French rosé, the sky turned a beautiful colour and we watched the yachts sail off into the sunset.

Cheers, to a beautiful adventure exploring Villefranche-sur-Mer!
